The international observers are continuing the monitoring at the polling stations, APA reports.
The Russian experts, who are at polling station No. 1 of the Sabail Constituency No. 7, have observed the election process.
Today's election is a very important event for Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, military expert Igor Korotchenko told APA.
"This election has a significant importance in the life of Azerbaijani people. For the snap presidential elections is being held in the entire territory of Azerbaijan, including in Garabagh," he said.
The expert called the snap presidential elections an important vector for the future life of Azerbaijan: "In this regard, the people of Azerbaijan actively participate in the elections."
Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).
Polling stations are open for voters from 08:00, and to close at 19:00.
