“We have been in Azerbaijan for 2-3 days. Azerbaijani people went to election to elect the president that will rule them for 7 years” said Shamil Ayrim, the head of the delegation of the Turkish Parliament, while talking about the extraordinary presidential elections held in Azerbaijan on February 7, APA reports.
He stated that Azerbaijan held an election in liberated territories for the first time: “Majority of the voters voted for the Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. They pave the way for important work to be carried out in the country. Shortly before the elections foreign forces prepared some “reports” that the election wouldn’t be held democratically. Our delegation does not accept that at all, we completely reject it."
Azerbaijan has been conducting its politics independently for 30 years. The elections in Azerbaijan were held completely transparent. We will always stand by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan’s being in stability shouldn’t bother anyone. We want normal relations between 6 countries in the region. For many years only blood was shed in this geography. We don’t want that. Ilham Aliyev will further develop the country with the support he receives from the people of Azerbaijan.
