CIS Secretary-General: We are sure that all international observers will give an objective assessment of the election

169 representatives are included in the mission of CIS countries operating in Azerbaijan since January 17, Sergey Lebedev, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Independent States, told journalists, APA reports.

“We came here with a goodwill mission because Azerbaijan is an integral part of the Commonwealth of Independent States and actively participates in the economic, humanitarian cooperation and other matters. We are all interested in peace, and stability in the CIS arena” Secretary-General said.

According to the CIS Secretary General, all candidates were given equal opportunities: "The arrival of a large number of international observers from the OSCE, SCO, and OTS shows that there is a great interest in the elections in Azerbaijan. We hope that not only observers from the CIS countries, but others will give an objective assessment of the elections held in Azerbaijan."
