“We will investigate the incoming applications,” said Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) held today, APA reports.
The Chairman of the CEC said that some violation may occur at the event attended by millions of people: "The CEC has always worked with the same principle. What is said and written about us is absolutely not important for us. We need the citizens of Azerbaijan to see that the decisions we make are reasoned decisions. If we have not received a complaint about a violation about any precincts, we cannot make a decision about it. All footages on the social networks will also be investigated. We will come to a conclusion. Unfortunately, international organizations and applicants often avoid participating until the end. We talk and investigate so much in front of the camera. We cannot change our word tomorrow.”
