On August 30, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) Mazahir Panahov met with the delegation led by Leonid Anfimov, the head of the observation mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS PA), who was visiting Azerbaijan to monitor the extraordinary parliamentary elections, APA reports.
Chairman of the CEC noted that Azerbaijan has close relations with the CIS member states.
M. Panahov gave detailed information to the guests about the number of voters, precincts, observers, printing of ballots and other issues, and said that representatives of international organizations came to Azerbaijan to observe the elections. He said that the preparations for the elections were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Election Code of Azerbaijan, and comprehensive conditions were created for the voters to vote comfortably.
