These elections were victory elections, Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan said in a session of the Plenum of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding presidential elections held in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
CEC Chairman said that for the first time, the elections were held in Azerbaijan’s entire territories recognized by international law: “Voting was organized in liberated territories of Azerbaijan. Conditions were created for our citizens who live permanently in Lachin, Shusha, and other territories and the people working there. There was a necessity to establish 26 stations in liberated territories. Especially in Khankendi City the establishment of a station was carried out at a very high level. Proper conditions for the Commissions to carry out their activities according to the requirements of the Election Code were created."
