The delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States visited Polling Station No. 1 of Yasamal III Constituency No. 17, APA reports.
The Chairman of the Polling Station Election Commission informed the international observers that the precinct is ready for voting.
First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Andrey Yatskin wished success to the work of the polling station: "I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan from the bottom of my heart. You know that we represent the Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States. All conditions have been created for voters to freely express their opinions in the precinct where we are now. We appreciate it very much."
Note that a total of 990 candidates are running in the elections, and all necessary conditions for a free and fair campaign were provided in accordance with legal requirements. Over 600 international observers and more than 112,000 local observers are monitoring the elections. Additionally, webcams have been installed at 1,000 polling stations nationwide to allow for live and continuous observation of the voting process.
Voting will end at 19:00.
The Elections' Information Center of the Central Election Commission Secretariat will provide preliminary information about the progress and results of the voting at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00, 17:00, and 19:00. The information received about the progress and results of the voting is considered preliminary and has no legal significance.
