The observation mission of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) has held a press conference on the results of the snap presidential election, APA reports.
Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Mohammad Reza Majidi noted the observers witnessed excellent conduct of Azerbaijani snap presidential election.
Assembly member Ilyas Topsakal emphasized that they had conducted observations in 6 districts in Baku and several polling stations in the regions.
“We can confidently assert that the election held in Azerbaijan was one of the best electoral processes globally in terms of security. The technical staff responsible for conducting the election process exhibited exceptional preparedness. Furthermore, we actively participated in the vote-counting process. Throughout this process, we observed that President Ilham Aliyev garnered a significant number of votes. This achievement is indeed a remarkable success for democracy,” said Ilyas Topsakal.
