The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) has unveiled voter turnout for 10:00 a.m. regarding the voting process of extraordinary presidential elections held in Azerbaijan today, APA reports.
The Head of the Information Center of the CEC Secretariat Farid Orujov said that 1,259,371 people have voted across the republic until 10:00 a.m. and the voter turnout was 19.44%.
Note that voting in the presidential election is going on in Azerbaijan. Candidates for the presidency in the upcoming election include incumbent President Ilham Aliyev (New Azerbaijan Party), independent contenders Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, Razi Nurullayev (National Front Party), Fazil Mustafa (Great Order Party), Elshad Musayev (Great Azerbaijan Party), and Gudrat Gasanguliyev (Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party).
Polling stations are open for voters from 08:00, and to close at 19:00.
