Already 28,000 people are living in the city of Khankendi, said Elchin Yusubov, the Special Representative of the President in the city of Khankendi, as well as the Aghdara and Khojali districts, APA's correspondent dispatched to Karabakh.
Briefing the diplomatic corps during their visit to the Culture Center in Khankendi, Elchin Yusubov noted that the return process of the population displaced from Khankendi is ongoing.
"Currently, more than 3,000 students have settled and are studying in Khankendi. This figure accounts for more than 10 percent of the total population," Elchin Yusubov highlighted.
He drew attention to the fact that new residential buildings and parks are under construction in the city, alongside modern roads being laid: "At the same time, the process of demolishing unsightly structures that do not match the city's appearance or modern urban planning standards has been intensified. In parallel, design work for the construction of modern facilities meeting new standards has commenced."
