Comprehensive measures aimed at strengthening the defense capacity of the country, building an army, equipping our armed forces with the most state-of-the-art weapons, ammunition, military equipment and technologies have been taken, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov said as he addressed a conference themed "20 years of unparalleled service to the country, people and statehood" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev's presidency, APA reports.
"Mr. Ilham Aliyev directed the 17 years of his presidency to preparations for the liberation of our lands, prepared our army for Victory, and made our just voice be heard across the world from the highest tribunes to ensure our supremacy on the diplomatic front," he added.
Ali Asadov said that President Ilham Aliyev kept all promises he made to the people during his 20-year tenure as the head of state without hesitation.
