Prime Minister said that, in an interview with local television channels on January 10, 2024, President Ilham Aliyev, especially emphasized that, today, we are entering 2024 as a nation that has fully restored its sovereignty: "Our head of state noted that new era of our modern history began exactly after September 20, 2023, and assessed the new tasks facing the country today as the tasks of the new era. The reporting period of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2023 also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the 20th anniversary of the presidency of President Ilham Aliyev. It is quite significant that the 20th anniversary of the head of state's presidential activity coincides with the "Year of Heydar Aliyev". President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy follower of the Great Leader, successfully continued his strategic development line and created the Azerbaijan model of independent statehood and modern development."
