Azerbaijani President opens park and fountains complex built on underground car park in Baku

APA reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva and his family members attended the opening ceremony.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov gave information to President Ilham Aliyev about the park complex.

7 underpasses have been constructed in the complex. 24 escalators have been installed in the underpasses.

Moreover, 14 lifts will operate from underground car park to the park. There are 32 pedestrian crossings from the underground car park to the park. The park has also been provided with modern lighting system, a new substation has been installed for this purpose. During the construction of the complex, the streets Samad Vurgun, Fuzuli, Mirzagha Aliyev and Shikhali Gurbanov have been expanded. Overall renovation and reconstruction works are still being continued in the buildings and areas around the park. The relocation process of the building #39 at Fuzuli street has already been completed.

As a result of the construction, Shamsi Bedelbeyli street has been extended 770 m reaching the square in front of Azerbaijan State Academic Drama Theatre. This road will be one-sided and three-lane. 212 m area from Samad Vurgun street to Dilara Aliyeva has been reconstructed.

President Ilham Aliyev praised the conditions created in the complex.
