Identities of 64 Azerbaijanis who were buried without recognition during the First Garabagh War have been determined -EXCLUSIVE

The identities of 64 people who were martyred during the First Garabagh War and buried without any recognition in the territory of 21 cemeteries located in 13 cities and regions of the republic were determined, Ismayil Akhundov, secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostaged Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Working Group, told APA in an extensive interview.

The head of the Working Group underlined that the remains of 586 people were found, and 108 of them were already identified: "35 of them have already been announced to the public. Relevant procedures are being carried out in connection with the announcement of 73 people to the public. Out of those 73 people, 64 people were found in the graves of unknown martyrs, while the remains of 9 people were taken from the mass graves discovered in the villages of Edilli, Dashalti and Sarijali.
