Alessandro Bianchi, an Italian international expert on culture said that restoration plan for "Imaret" Complex, where the palace of Panahali Khan is located, was formed last year and submitted to the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan. He added that, due to destruction being the large-scale, the works will be carried out in two stages, as he told to APA about the restoration works in the "Imaret" Complex, where the palace of Panahali Khan is located, which was destroyed as a result of Armenian vandalism.

“The first phase consists of physical restoration of the building. The complex consists of two main buildings, 5 tombs. Probably, the family members of the khanate were buried in the main building. The second phase of the works is the restoration of a completely destroyed cemetery. The headstones of most of the graves have been removed, most of the graves were destroyed, and that’s why, we have lost the information about the grave. Therefore, the restoration is a big problem."

The expert noted that archeological works have been initiated in order to determine the locations of the graves and important discoveries have already been obtained in this direction.
