Azerbaijan's Culture Minister: List of samples of unified cultural heritage of Turkic states must be compiled

"Our family is the Turkic world," Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli said as he delivered a speech at the conference titled "Study and Preservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World from the perspective of UNESCO" held at ADA University, APA reports.

The Minister also talked about the steps taken on the preservation of the common Turkic cultural heritage: "We must combine our efforts for the preservation and promotion of the rich Turkic cultural heritage, and should create a platform, mechanism for it. The creation of such a platform is very important. As the Turkic-speaking states, we must make efforts for its research and study within the framewrok of the legal and academic platforms in order to protect the rich Turkic cultural heritage."

Minister of Culture stressed the importance of compiling a list of samples of the unified cultural heritage of the Turkic states.

"It is importan to speak together for the protection of the common Turkic cultural heritage, and express an opinion in this direction on international platforms," the Culture Minister said.
