"Deposits have not been affected by the attack and continue to operate normally," Binance said in a statement, APA-Economics reports.
The statement said that withdrawal operations have been temporarily suspended. The company's team is currently working to improve the security system of the withdrawal service and its associated addresses.
The company announced that it expects the service to be restored within 48 hours and will provide additional information on the matter.
It was reported that the incident occurred as a result of several factors. The security team is investigating the full mechanism of the attack, including a compromised computer that cybercriminals may have used to gain access to the system.
It was noted that a detailed report outlining the root causes of the incident will be published soon.

A total of approximately $6.3 billion worth of assets has been stolen from the hot wallet accounts (internet-connected cryptocurrency wallets) of Binance, one of the world's largest and most well-known cryptocurrency ecosystems, APA-Economics reports, citing the company's press service.
According to Binance's press service, preliminary investigations suggest that the security incident may be linked to the hacking of a DevOps engineer's laptop.
This allowed cybercriminals to gain access to a service container and carry out unauthorized transactions to withdraw funds.
No evidence of a leak of the wallets' private keys has been found.
Binance has worked with blockchain partners to freeze the affected assets. Approximately $3 billion worth of assets are reportedly currently blocked on the blockchain network.
The company announced that it would cover all losses resulting from the theft through its SAFU fund and its own resources.
