According to experts' forecasts, the trade value of the Middle Corridor countries will increase by 150% and the volume by 60% between 2023 and 2040, said Rolande Pryce, the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to her, the volume of cargo transportation could increase threefold by 2040.
"The World Bank Group actively supports the Middle Corridor projects: it is taking steps to upgrade infrastructure, implement regulatory reforms, and increase digital trade opportunities," she added.
