A dry port has been opened in Tbilisi, which will become a container hub for Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Armenia, APA-Economics reports citing foreign media.
It was reported that the dry port will be included in the Middle Corridor route connecting Western Asia and Eastern Europe. Today, the port has already received the first train with 30 containers from Batumi.
At the current stage, the terminal has a capacity to transport up to 100 thousand containers per year. After the completion of all three stages of construction, its capacity will increase to 200 thousand.
