Last year, Kazmortransflot, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national company KazMunayQaz (KMG), transported 59.4 thousand containers (in twenty-foot equivalent units, TEU) along the Aktau–Baku–Aktau feeder route, APA-Economics reports this, citing official information from KazMunayQaz.
According to the data, the volume of shipments increased by more than 15 percent compared to 2024 (51.4 thousand TEU). The positive dynamics are driven by growing demand for transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).
“The consistent increase in transportation volumes confirms Kazmortransflot’s key role in ensuring reliable maritime logistics, diversifying export and transit routes, and developing multimodal transport between Asia and Europe,” the statement said.
