Chairman of ADY: Cooperation between CIS countries is one of main factors of economic integration of region

Cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of transport and logistics is one of the main factors of the economic integration of the region. The expansion of this cooperation, especially the improvement of interaction in railway transport, contributes to the sustainable development not only of our countries, but also of the region as a whole, said Chairman of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC (ADY) Rovshan Rustamov during the plenary meeting of the Council of Railway Transport of the CIS countries held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

"Joint decisions made within the framework of cooperation with international partners, as well as the application of unified technical and operational standards, play an important role in optimizing cargo transportation and effectively using transit potential. We are confident that such coordinated activities increase the sustainability and competitiveness of the region's transport chain," Rovshan Rustamov noted.

According to him, technological solutions such as digitalization of operations, use of centralized transit systems and real-time tracking of shipments are a key component of this process. "Azerbaijan Railways" is implementing a number of innovative projects in this area.
