Today a meeting was held in Baku between the Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways, Arif Aghayev, and the Deputy Chairman of Belarusian Railways, Andrey Yakobson, along with their respective delegations, Azerbaijan Railways told APA-Economics.
The meeting focused on the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation within international organizations, the implementation of joint projects of mutual interest, the organization of regular cargo transportation between the two countries, including the transportation of goods by container trains.
The Belarusian side expressed interest in sending cargo to Türkiye via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, passing through Azerbaijani territory, as well as to Iran via the North-South corridor.
