In January-June 2025, 7120.1 thousand tons of cargo were transported by rail, 3752.2 thousand tons by sea, and 5307.7 thousand tons by road in the transport corridors, APA-Economics reports citing State Statistical Committee.
It was noted that the volume of cargo transported through the East-West transport corridor was 8300.8 thousand tons, including 4088.9 thousand tons through the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor, 4690.5 thousand tons through the North-South transport corridor, 2930.4 thousand tons through the North-West transport corridor, and 258.2 thousand tons through the South-West transport corridor.
Transit cargo accounted for 45.8 percent of cargo transported by rail, 42.3 percent of cargo transported by road, and 95.1 percent of cargo transported by sea.
