The Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), Rovshan Rustamov, one of the companies of AZCON Holding, visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport as part of his trip to Turkmenistan, ADY told APA-Economics.
The port’s director, Parahat Jumayev, gave the ADY delegation comprehensive information on the existing infrastructure, technical capabilities, and transit potential of the Turkmenbashi Port.
Discussions also covered the role of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in the development of regional freight transportation, the synchronization of development between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Turkmenbashi Port, as well as the implementation of seabed deepening works. It was emphasized that expanding the Caspian Sea–Black Sea connectivity would contribute to increasing cargo volumes and operational efficiency along the Middle Corridor.
It was also noted that coordinated operations of ports along the Eurasian Transport Route are important for ensuring efficient, fast, and secure freight transportation via the Middle Corridor.
