On November 25, a meeting was held in Baku between the management teams of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Kazakhstan Railways National Company CJSC, one of the AZCON Holding companies, ADY told APA-Economics.
According to the information, the meeting discussed the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, especially in the railway sector, the work carried out by Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which are strategic participants in the East-West transport corridor, for the efficient and safe organization of international cargo transportation, and strengthening cooperation between the Baku International Sea Port and the ports of Kazakhstan.
In addition, views were exchanged on the possibilities of transshipment of products of Kazakh origin at the Baku Port and their subsequent transportation by rail to Georgian ports or to Turkish and world markets via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line, which it was stated would contribute to more efficient management of cargo flows and reduction of cargo falling on alternative routes.
