The annual capacity of the Horadiz-Aghband railway is planned to be 15 million tons, said Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Communication Department of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC, APA-Economics correspondent dispatched to Zangilan reports.
He said that the construction of the Horadiz-Aghband railway is being carried out in 3 stages. The construction of 259 culverts, 39 bridges, 4 animal crossings, 5 culverts and overpasses, and 7 underpasses has been completed.
"Currently, construction and installation work of 4 tunnels, 1 bridge, 1 gallery, and 3 culverts is ongoing," Bakhtiyar Hajiyev noted.
Note that the design and construction work of the Horadiz-Aghband railway line began in accordance with the Order No. 2534 of President Ilham Aliyev dated March 13, 2021.
