300 block trains to be transported from China via Middle Corridor

By the end of 2024, 300 container block trains will be transported from China through the Middle Corridor passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, said during the consultation meeting of heads of railway administrations on the establishment of the "Eurasian Transport Route" International Association held in Baku.

According to him, the mentioned indicator is equivalent to approximately 30,000 TEU or up to 420,000 tons of cargo capacity.

Rovshan Rustamov also noted that, on average, block trains via the Middle Corridor are delivered from China to Azerbaijan within 8-10 days, and to the ports of Georgia within 12 days.
