Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is preparing to deploy a significant number of troops in Belarus, which could be used for an invasion of a NATO country, APA reports citing Spot.

Citing Ukrainian intelligence services, Zelensky stated that Putin is forming 10 to 15 divisions, totaling approximately 100,000 soldiers, to be sent to Belarus for military exercises.

"He will say it is an exercise, that there are exercises near Ukraine's borders, as it was before. But believe me, this is the preparation of a bridgehead for offensive actions. Who told you he will go to Ukraine? Who told you he will not go to Lithuania? To Poland?" continued the leader.

"Perhaps right now he is preparing a bridgehead for a large number of soldiers and simply takes this bridgehead and moves in another direction. He goes to Poland, goes to Lithuania, and occupies them. Why does no one believe this will happen?" he added.
