Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Istanbul spoke Russian, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, the opening speech was read out by representatives of Kyiv in English.
"It is unclear for whom they translated into Ukrainian, because the Ukrainian delegation spoke Russian," the diplomat said.
Earlier, Zakharova said that the proposal for the exchange of prisoners of war between Moscow and Kyiv in the "1000 to 1000" format was put forward by the Russian side.
