Zakharova: Russia will shape its policy toward Armenia based on actions of Armenian leadership

Russia intends to shape its policy toward Armenia based on the real steps taken by the Armenian leadership, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to her, there is a clear demand within Armenian society for developing relations with Russia and remaining part of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also emphasized that the parliamentary elections were held amid pressure on the opposition and Western interference, clearly demonstrating the excessive polarization of Armenian society.
