About 50,000 tourists from Russia are currently in the Middle East, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said during a briefing today, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to her, between 6,000 and 8,000 Russian tourists are unable to leave Asian countries due to the closure of air connections.
Zakharova also said that Russia is demanding security guarantees from the United States and Israel for its foreign diplomatic missions.
She recalled that Washington and Tel Aviv had been informed about the locations of Russia’s diplomatic missions.
