Putin plans to visit China in late August - September, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in his speech at the "Government Hour" in the State Duma today, APA reports citing CGTN.
According to him, Putin is planning a visit to China to celebrate the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II.
Lavrov noted that Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit Moscow on May 9 - Victory Day.
"Xi Jinping has timed his next visit to Moscow to coincide with the solemn events held on May 9 in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. President Putin will visit China in late August and early September to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II."
