Xi Jinping invited to Victory Day celebrations in Moscow — Kremlin

Russia has invited Chinese President Xi Jiping to attend celebrations of the 80th anniversary of victory over the Nazi Germany in Moscow on May 9, 2025, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters on Tuesday in the wake of a video linkup between the Russian and Chinese leaders, APA reports citing TASS.

The Kremlin aide said that during their conversation, Putin and Xi "discussed plans for their joint work in 2025," a year when both countries will celebrate the 80th anniversary of victory.

"Russia and China will have broad celebrations on that day. We invited many heads of states to the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow on May 9, and, of course, we have invited the Chinese president," the Kremlin official said.
