Russian President Vladimir Putin has declined to evaluate the activities of his US counterpart Donald Trump but pointed to the growing US economy and markets.
"It is not for me to evaluate President Trump’s activities, it is his voters, the American people, who should do that," Putin said at his annual news conference on Thursday.
"We actually see that some serious achievements have been made during the short period of time that has passed since he took office. Just look how the markets have gone up," he added.
Putin said accusations against Russia of involvement in US elections and situation around Russian media are spy hysteria and nonsense.
He noted all allegations of Russia’s meddling in US election were concocted by Trump’s opponents.
“Trump faces restrictions in implementing intention to improve relations with Russia, ties expected to be normalized,” added the Russian president.
