The Russian Federal Security Service detained terrorists from four Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) sleeper cells in the country's city of Novy Urengoy, APA reported citing RIA Novosti.
"The terrorists' activities have been coordinated through the Telegram app," said a statement issued by the service.
The terrorists planned to conduct terrorist acts in Moscow. The FSB further noted that is also managed to define the terrorists' supporters in the city.
The service also carried out a special operation in Novy Urengoy, as a result of which 20 people were detained.
