Western countries’ response to the unsanctioned protests in Moscow and across Russia over the weekend seems like the usual programmed double-standard reaction, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday, APA reported citing TASS Agency.
"When the same type of events provoke different a totally different reaction all we can think of in this regard is the infamous double standard," the top diplomat stressed. "I cannot recall, anyone in Austria, Holland, Germany whipping up a storm, where the authorities in those countries banned certain protests," Lavrov noted.
"It did not concern anyone and nobody said anything about it," the top Russian diplomat added.
