World Health Organization (WHO) announced Georgia as a malaria- free country, Georgia Ministry of Health informed, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.
According to Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze, announcing the country cleaned from malaria is the further recognition of sustainability of Georgia’s health system. According to him, this success means that Georgia has the ability to overcome substantial and serious challenging.
Hans Kluge, the director of European Regional Bureau of WHO, congratulated Georgia on the occasion of Georgia receiving the certification of malaria-free country.
