Armen Grigoryan, the secretary of the security council of Armenia, says an August 2025 summit in Washington, DC that ended with a deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan was a “very great success, bringing peace to the region and changing the whole atmosphere” in it, APA reports, citing AlJazeera.
“Now we do not discuss the conflict; we discuss how to strengthen the peace,” he said.
According to Grigoryan, ratifying the peace agreement and unblocking the region economically are parts of institutionalising the deal, which he called “a great and historic success”.
The Armenian official emphasised that increasing economic interaction in an interdependent manner is a priority for his country.
