Personnel of the Russian Armed Forces’ Northern Fleet were among those killed in the An-26 military aircraft crash in Crimea, Murmansk Region Governor Andrey Chibis stated, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
According to him, members of the Northern Fleet were among the victims of the military transport aircraft crash.
He did not specify how many Northern Fleet servicemen were killed in the incident.
It should be noted that contact was lost with a Russian Defense Ministry An-26 military transport aircraft in Crimea’s airspace on the evening of March 31. It was later reported that the plane crashed into a rock, killing seven crew members and 23 passengers.
