On September 1, the bodies of two Kyrgyz citizens were handed over to the Kyrgyz side at Uzbekistan’s “Baymak” border crossing, APA reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
The two Kyrgyz citizens who crossed the border were killed by gunfire from Uzbek border guards in the area where the borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan intersect.
According to the Uzbek side, the individuals were shot because they did not comply with the border guards’ orders while attempts were made to detain them, resulting in both receiving fatal gunshot wounds.
