US officials contacted Turkish financial institutions and threatened them with sanctions if they continue financial transactions with Russia, this information was confirmed by a source in the field of Turkish financial consulting in a conversation with TASS, APA reports.
The source said that representatives of the US government threatened Turkish banks with sanctions.
"Aydinliq" newspaper wrote that in March, some employees of the US Embassy and Consulate General in Türkiye visited companies and financial institutions and threatened them with sanctions, preventing them from doing business with the Russian Federation.
