Ukrainian Armed Forces' advance in the Kursk region has been halted, APA reports citing Russian media.
Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army Valery Gerasimov briefed President Vladimir Putin about this during a meeting.
"On August 6 at 5:30 AM, a group of up to 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers launched an attack to capture part of the Sudzha district. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian forces suffered losses of 315 soldiers (at least 100 killed and 215 wounded). Fifty-four armored vehicles, including seven tanks, were destroyed. The operation will conclude by defeating the enemy and reaching the state border," Gerasimov stated.
