Turkish President Erdogan receives chairwoman of Russia’s Federation Council-UPDATED

Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday received Valentina Matviyenko, the chairperson of Russia’s Federation Council, the upper house of Russian parliament, APA reports citing Turkish media.

The meeting was held at the presidential complex in the Turkish capital Ankara, according to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

Earlier in the day, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus also held talks with Matviyenko.

The Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko will pay an official visit to Türkiye, the Federation Council's press service said, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

It was stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with Matviyenko in Istanbul.
