Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has agreed to join the "Peace Council" established for Gaza in response to the official invitation of US President Donald Trump, said the President's press secretary Ruslan Zheldibay, APA reports.
According to him, Tokayev received an official invitation from Donald Trump to become a member of the "Peace Council" established for Gaza.
"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is one of the first world leaders to receive this official invitation. Kazakhstan was offered to become one of the founding states of the council. In response, President Tokayev sent a letter to the US President expressing his gratitude and confirming his agreement to join this new structure. He once again expressed Kazakhstan's intention to contribute to ensuring lasting peace in the Middle East, strengthening interstate trust and strengthening global stability," Zheldivay noted.
