On June 27, a trial was held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on the case of Azerbaijanis detained by local law enforcement agencies, according to information obtained by APA's Russian bureau.
The extension of the arrest warrant was considered for Mazahir, Ayaz, Akif, Bakir and Kamal Safarovs, Ahliman Ganjiyev, Shahid Lalayev and Aziz Abbasov, who were accused of criminal cases that occurred in 2001, 2010 and 2011.
The court decided to extend the pre-trial detention measure for all the detainees for another three months and kept the Azerbaijanis in custody until October 19.
