Talks with US in Riyadh were not very productive - Russian Deputy Chairman

In Riyadh, the talks with the United States have not been very productive, said Grigory Karasin, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Committee for Foreign Affairs, APA's Moscow correspondent reports

According to Karasin, one of the leaders of the Russian delegation at the Moscow-Washington talks, it would be naive to expect progress from these talks: "The meeting with the US delegation was constructive and calm, but it would be naive to expect any breakthrough results in the first meeting."

The Russian senator noted that during the meeting with the US side, the export of Russian agricultural products to ports and the connection of Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT were discussed.

Karasin added that the Americans received this calmly.
