The Russian ambassador has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan in connection with an “ethnically motivated” killing at a school in the Moscow region, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the website of the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Tajikistan MFA stated that it strongly condemns the ethnically motivated attack against Gobiljon Aliyev, a fourth-grade student of Uspenskaya Secondary School in the Gorki-2 settlement of Odintsovo city in the Moscow region.
A note was presented to the Russian ambassador to Tajikistan demanding an immediate, objective, and impartial investigation into this tragic incident, and that all those involved be held accountable in full accordance with the law.
Note that on December 16, a murder occurred at a secondary school located in the city of Odintsovo in the Moscow region. A ninth-grade student, Timofey K., stabbed to death a fourth-grade student, 10-year-old Gobiljon Aliyev. Timofey shared a video of the killing on a Telegram channel. The video revealed that the murder was committed on ethnic grounds.
