Seven employees of enterprise died in traffic accident in Volgograd region

All seven people killed in the three-vehicle accident that occurred on federal highway R-22 in the Mikhailovsky district of the Volgograd region were employees of a company, APA reports quoting TASS.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region reported this to TASS.

"All seven people killed in the accident were employees of the company," the press service said in response to a TASS question.

As the department's press service previously told TASS, a 17-year-old girl was among the dead. She also worked at the plant.

According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a collision involving a UAZ, a VAZ, and a DAF truck with a semitrailer occurred earlier on the R-22 federal highway. As a result of the accident, seven people in the UAZ died at the scene before emergency medical services arrived. State Traffic Safety Inspectorate crews and an investigative team are working at the scene.

According to the Volgograd Region administration's press service, two victims refused hospitalization. Regional Governor Andrei Bocharov instructed relevant agencies and municipal leadership to provide necessary assistance to the victims and the families of the deceased, conduct an investigation, and take measures to ensure safety at the scene.
