Secretary: Crisis in Moscow-Baku relations has been resolved

Russia will not finance Armenia's European integration, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

He pointed to Yerevan's desire to expand cooperation with NATO and its consumerist attitude toward the Eurasian Economic Union and the CSTO.

Shoigu noted that Russia is interested in ensuring peace in the South Caucasus, maintaining communication with its southern partners, and ensuring the absence of threats: "The West only needs control over resources and logistics routes in the South Caucasus. The West's plans include reducing Russia's interaction with the Global South and isolating it from global processes. The United States and Europe are interested in weakening the positions of Russia and Iran and establishing their own rules in the South Caucasus."

Shoigu stated that the crisis in relations between Moscow and Baku has been resolved and that cooperation must now be developed.

He emphasized that "the West is brazenly attempting to interfere in the political situation in Georgia, while Russia is ready to help develop economic and humanitarian ties with Georgia."
