Search underway at the apartment of former director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute

The apartment of the former director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Doctor of Historical Sciences Hayk Demoyan, is being searched, APA reports, citing "Armenia Today".

Demoyan himself reported this on social networks and noted that the search is being carried out without his participation.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia stated that the search is part of the investigative actions carried out within the framework of the criminal case regarding 19 valuable books lost from the museum.

Among the possible responsible persons mentioned by Demoyan in his interview regarding the 19 valuable books lost from the museum were the names of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and "Citizens' Contract" MP Vladimir Vardanyan.

According to the information, in November 2025, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan filed a lawsuit against Demoyan due to his statements regarding the case of the missing books.
